What Is the Keralase Hair Restoration Treatment?

What Is the Recommended Treatment Course?
The KeraFactor protocol is one treatment once a month for 6 treatments. Improvement is normally seen after 2 months. In most patients, improvement appears gradually during the 4-6 treatment protocol. A maintenance in-office treatment “booster” is also encouraged, a few times a year to maintain results.
What Does Keralase MD Involve?
This treatment is a two-step process. The Ultra laser creates a microcolumn in the epidermis and the upper dermis of the scalp. These columns allow for step two, applying the potent nanoliposomes of growth factors, KeraFactor MD. This patented technology allows for significantly higher concentrations of each growth factor.
How Long Will It Be Before I See Results From My Keralase Treatment?
While everyone is different, improvement in scalp health and an increase in the appearance of thicker, healthier hair may be visible within 3 months when patients follow the treatment protocol as prescribed. Most patients even see more improvement over the next 2-4 months. We cannot guarantee a response for all patients.
Can I Use KeraFactor if I’m Using Rogaine, Propecia, PRF, or Thinking of a Hair Transplant.?
KeralaseTM can help people with hair loss or thinning due to hormonal, environmental, or physiological factors such as stress. This treatment can also be used if you are getting ready for a hair transplant or undergoing hair loss treatments such as Rogaine, Propecia, PRP, or Laser Therapy. With thinning or hair loss, we like to use a multi-pronged approach. This means the protocol was developed with take home serums, a growth support shampoo/condition (which contains growth factors). We also recommend a hair-supporting vitamin. We prefer Naturfol because of the ingredients in the product, and the research that shows its efficacy.
How Can I Prepare for My Keralase MD Treatment?
- Recommend starting with hair vitamins 4 weeks prior to your Keralase visits.
- Arrive with shampooed, clean, and dry hair. No styling products.
- We are unable to treat wet hair, as the laser will target the water.
- Discontinue the use of topical steroids to the scalp one week prior to treatment and throughout the course of the 6 sessions.
- You may continue to use the following hair loss medications/topicals that you may currently be using. (Spironolactone, Finasteride, and Minoxidil).
What Do I Do After My Keralase MD Treatment?
For a few hours after your treatment, you may experience mild side effects such as redness and/or a warm sensation at the treatment site (which can last up to 24 hours) as well as heat or tingling sensations.
What Is the Typical Protocol for Hair Restoration with EZ PRF?
EZ PRF treatment to the scalp is proven to regrow hair, increase the density of the hair shaft, to improve blood flow to the scalp and follicles, because it grows a new blood supply to the hair follicles.
For hair restoration, the protocol is one treatment monthly, for three months. We also advise supporting internal health with hair suppot vitamins.
