How does Sofwave™ work?
The fractional heating effect created by Sofwave’s unique ultrasound delivery, stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin which leads to the reduction in fine lines and wrinkles and a more lifted and tighter outcome.
How many treatments are needed?
Most patients see significant improvement after just one Sofwave treatment, but additional sessions may be recommended for optimal results. In Sofwave™’s clinical trials, results have been shown in one treatment, but depending on age, may need additional sessions. Typically, one full face and neck treatment is recommended. Depending on individual progress at the 3 month follow up, you can elect to repeat a specific area to a target (i.e., around the mouth or eyes only), or you can repeat the full face treatment.
What does the Sofwave™ treatment feel like?
Treatment is done after applying a topical anesthetic cream prior to the treatment. Other comfort options include a cold air chiller or ProNox (Nitrous Oxide).
After numbing the skin an ultrasound energy is delivered under the skin. You may feel warmness and heat. The treatment has a buildup and peak of heat, which some say feels like a warm, pulsed sensations that are very manageable. Following the treatment, there is no discomfort, and there is no downtime.
